I want to make a small enough ball mill, i plan on using 3/4 inch ball bearings but what i don't understand is how a plastic bottle can work for making the likes of aluminium powder (they say it can) because i would have thought it would "give" when the bearings land on the substance being milled, whereas a metal mill would allow the substance to be crushed more no?

But if PVC or plastic can be used, then will my 3 litre bottle do the job?

Thanks.
